Reiki

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words: Rei, which means God's Wisdom, or Higher Power and Ki, which means life force energy; therefore, Reiki literally means 'spiritually guided life force energy'. The practice of Reiki is based on the belief that if one's life force energy is low, we are more likely to experience stress and therefore be more susceptible to illness.

When our life force energy is high, we have more endurance and resiliency to daily stressors and are more capable of being healthy and happy.Reiki is a simple, natural and safe holistic healing technique. It treats the whole person, including body, emotions, mind and spirit. Through this practice, many experience a deeper sense of well-being and connection to self. Reiki produces and promotes a range of positive effects, both through self-healing and through the guidance of a practitioner. Reiki is an incredibly simple technique to learn. Its use is not dependent on intellectual or spiritual development and is therefore offered to any willing individual.

Reiki Classes

Reiki I

This class is taught over a week-end or two day intensive – the class is a
combination of lecture, discussion and experience. Practice time includes giving and receiving a complete Reiki treatment using all the hand positions, doing self –
treatment and distance healing. Reiki begins as each student receives "attunements" from the Reiki Master which is said to unlock one's natural intuitive healing ability so that the healing energy will automatically flow from the hands. As with any therapy, individual results for Reiki will vary. Many report feeling a glowing or tingling sensation during treatment and a radiant sense of well-being afterwards. All the information and techniques are covered for complete knowledge of using Reiki including:
* The Reiki hand positions
* Giving a complete Reiki treatment for self and others
* How to scan and sense the body’s vital energy flow
* Gentle “hands on” healing – providing comfort and calm to family, friends
and animals
* Distance Reiki – how to “send” healing energy to others
* How thoughts and attitudes can create dis-ease in both mind and body

Reiki II

Second Degree Reiki is a two day intensive class, and leads you to the deeper
understanding of the ancient method of Reiki. You will be introduced to and
learn the three Second Degree Reiki symbols. Using these symbols intensifies the
amount of energy you are channeling to yourself or others and helps you to focus
the energy. This increased energy works very deeply on the emotional and
mental causes of stress and disease. In this class you will learn:

* The Reiki II symbols, what they are, and how to use them
* How to use the symbols in conjunction with distance Reiki
* Advanced techniques for using Reiki to solve problems and achieve goals

Advanced Reiki Training

This is a one day workshop for the Reiki II practitioner who wants to deepen
their understanding of how to use Reiki in their daily lives and practice. It is
designed for those who are not ready to move on to the full Master/Teacher level
yet, but wish to enhance and deepen their understanding and experience of Reiki.

Reiki III : Master Training

This one day intensive includes the instruction and use of all symbols, knowledge
and attunements required to initiate into the Third Degree Master/Teacher Level
of Reiki. The Master level energy facilitates a huge leap in personal and spiritual
development and increases the effectiveness of the Reiki II symbols. The main goal
of this last level of training is to initiate you as a Reiki Master who can in turn initiate, teach and train others. In this class you will learn:

* The Master attunement and symbol, increasing the strength of your Reiki energy
* Instructions on giving attunements for Reiki I and II
* Instructions on giving attunements for full Reiki Master

Over half the class time is given to “practicing” giving the attunements
with each other so as to become confident in administering Reiki attunements.
